Advocacy, education and social justice

The Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation (PWAAF) serves as the advocacy and development arm of the Cooperative. It focuses on women's rights, education, capacity building, and social justice.

Through PWAAF, the Cooperative drives sustainable programmes that promote gender equality, community empowerment, and national development, ensuring that every woman's voice is heard and her potential realised.

Established in February 2020 under the leadership of Evangelist Mrs. Msurshima Comfort Chenge, the Foundation has grown alongside the Cooperative into a platform for financial empowerment, spiritual growth and social change reaching women across Nigeria and the diaspora.

What we focus on

Four areas of work

Women's rights and advocacy

Speaking for women whose voices are not otherwise heard, and promoting fairness and inclusiveness at every level of community life.

Education and capacity building

Training and mentorship that equip women with practical skills, confidence, and the means to lead change where they live.

Humanitarian outreach

Food relief, hospital visitations and medical support for families in distress, delivered with the Cooperative's welfare arm.

Sustainable livelihoods

Ventures such as the Prudent Women Fish Cluster, a partnership empowering women through sustainable aquaculture.

The Foundation at work

Benue State Teaching Hospital outreach

The Foundation visited Baby Msurshima at the Paediatrics Department, providing food and medical support. A second child's surgery bill was settled on the day, and every child on the ward was prayed for and given a token.

Since 2022

Prudent Women Food Bank

Emergency food relief for widows, single mothers and displaced families, alongside a contribution scheme members save into through the year.

PWFBPrudent Women Food BankEstablished in 2022 to alleviate hunger and food insecurity among women and children, with emergency relief for widows, single mothers and displaced families.
