The noble Prudent Women Cooperative is a leading women-based cooperative that stands as a beacon of integrity, empowerment, and godly purpose. Founded by the visionary leader, Evangelist Mrs. Msurshima Comfort Chenge, the Cooperative was officially registered and began operations on 1 February 2020 in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria.
Born during the heat of the global COVID-19 pandemic, a period of economic hardship and uncertainty, the Cooperative emerged as a godly response to uplift women and children facing financial distress. In just five years, the Prudent Women Cooperative has remained steadfast in its mission to empower women spiritually, socially, and financially through soft loans, grants, tools, and mentorship opportunities that transform lives and strengthen communities.
What began as a mustard seed has now grown into a national and international movement rooted in faith, love, and prudence, impacting women across all 36 states of Nigeria, including the FCT, and extending to the United States, United Kingdom, Tanzania, Ghana, Canada, Cameroon, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and beyond.
Today, the Cooperative stands as a tested and trusted institution promoting savings, investment, and mutual support among women of diverse backgrounds and professions.

Our Growth and Reach
PWMCSL operates vibrant chapters across Nigeria — from Abuja, Benue, Lagos, Ondo, Delta, Enugu, Osun, Oyo, and Kaduna, to many other states — uniting women from all walks of life in one prudent vision.
Beyond financial empowerment, the Cooperative has fostered a culture of compassion and sisterhood. Through its Welfare Department, members extend love and support to one another during weddings, childbirth, and times of loss, strengthening the bond of community and shared purpose.
Expanding Our Arms
Prudent Women Global Gospel Outreach (PWGGO)
PWGGO serves as the spiritual and mentorship arm of the Cooperative, guiding women and young girls to live purposeful lives aligned with divine principles. It mentors them in faith, leadership, and character development, following the examples of biblical heroines such as Deborah, Ruth, Hannah, Esther, Abigail, Rebecca, Mary Magdalene, and Mary, the mother of Jesus.
Through seminars, prayer meetings, and mentorship sessions, PWGGO continues to raise women who stand firm in faith while influencing their homes, churches, and communities positively.
Prudent Women Food Bank (PWFB)
Established in 2022, the Prudent Women Food Bank is a humanitarian initiative dedicated to alleviating hunger and food insecurity among women and children.
At its launch, the Food Bank distributed essential food items such as rice, spaghetti, oil, and other staples to hundreds of families and introduced a food-saving scheme that allows members to contribute regularly toward their household food needs, exemplifying prudence and foresight in action.

Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation (PWAAF)
The Prudent Women Advancement and Advocacy Foundation serves as the advocacy and development arm of the Cooperative. It focuses on women's rights, education, capacity building, and social justice. Through PWAAF, the Cooperative drives sustainable programmes that promote gender equality, community empowerment, and national development, ensuring that every woman's voice is heard and her potential realised.

As the Cooperative celebrates its fifth year of remarkable impact, we look forward to establishing regional training hubs, a central Prudent Women Resource Centre, and digital cooperative banking systems that make empowerment accessible to women everywhere.
