We are super excited to announce the details for the Prudent Women Food Bank.

Food is essential and unavoidable; it’s a lifeline. Unavailability of food causes a lot of distractions aside the reality and the feeling of poverty and scarcity. That is why, as a forward-thinking insightful women’s organization, we have deliberately diversified our food bank not just to care for the food needs of women in need in the society but to give us the opportunity and platform to save for the future when prices of food becomes very expensive.

This year, we encourage everyone of us to save now in order to have enough food for the festive season in December, 2024.

Last year many chapters couldn’t purchase cows and broilers as the money saved per person wasn’t commiserate to the prices in the market last December. Hence, we have proactively researched and adjusted the prices as envisaged for this year’s season. However, it is worthy to note that there is room for additional money due to the exponential rise of prices for items in the market. If there would be a need, it would be announced in October.

Food sharing shall take place by the first week of December, 2024.

PLEASE NOTE:

Payment is from January to December.  You can catch up by paying backward from now.  Flexibility is key,  so those who want to pay once or twice or as the case may be are at liberty to do so.

Below are the various items.

For a contribution of N200,000 you will receive the following items.

1. 50kg Quality Nigeria Rice

2. 5 liters G/N Oil

3. 5 liters Red Oil

4. 1 carton of Indomie

5. 1 carton of spaghetti

6. 5 pack of knorr Maggi

7. 10kg of Semovita

8. 1 pack 400g Milo

9. 400g Milk

10.  1 pack of cornflakes

11. 1 pack golden Morn

12. I Big pack of sugar

13. 1 pack of soft drinks

COW CONTRIBUTION

Amount Per Cow

 N600,000

There are two categories

1. Four persons per cow = N150,000 per person.

 2. Six persons per cow = N100,000 per person.

Please note that a member can decide to merge with another member per portion in order to split the price and share the portion of meat.
